Ed Young presents: ‘Famous Last Words of Celebrities’

Ed Young, a narrative and humorist, will present 'Famous Last Words of Celebrities' at the Timbers of Shorewood retirement community. Ed Young will present ‘Famous Last Words of Celebrities’ at 6:30 p.m. Friday, Sept. 20, at the Timbers of Shorewood retirement community, 1100 N. River Road.

Frank Sinatra’s “I’m losing,” was his final response to his wife Barbara, after she encouraged him to fight his battle with dementia, heart and kidney disease and bladder cancer in 1998. Elvis Presley said “Okay, I won’t.” to his fiancée after she told him not to fall asleep in the bathroom. And Joan Crawford instructed “Don’t you dare ask God to help me,” when her housekeeper started to pray after her heart attack in 1977.

From the ironic and absurd to the heart-breaking, Young – a narrative and humorist – will take the audience through the last words of celebrities like these and many more.

The Timbers of Shorewood is a rental retirement community which provides independent and assisted living apartments and a full schedule of activities and services. Residents, whose needs may change, are able to stay in the same place and receive appropriate care.

This event is free and open to the public. For more information, call Shelly Goggins at 815-609-0669.
